Poem: The unchanging in you and me

I play out infinite different forms

Each time I die and I’m reborn.

I am not who I was before

And also tomorrow I won’t be

I am not even who I am -

At least I am not the one you see.

I am the changeless that perceives

All the changes that are perceived.

When I gaze deeply in your eyes

I am the soul that I can see.

And so my favorite way to meet

Is as the I without history.

It’s when we both say

Namaste,

To the unchanging in you and me,

Knowing the changing as just a dream.
