Poem: I am, despite what comes and goes

If you are, just like me

Interested in being spiritually free

And no this is not the start of a poem

Or actually, it just might be

Then it's really important

That we know were to look

Because that which we seek

Won't be found in a book

Neither will it be

An emotion or a thought

Because the freedom that we seek

Is already what we are

See it's not really a state

Or something that's acquired

And you dont need to get rid

Of your aversions and desires

To be free we have to know

That there is something unafflicted

Beyond the meditator

And the one who is addicted

It is the one that simply knows

'I am', despite what comes and goes

Look for that and you are bound

To find That which can't be found
